lemongrass-patis -caramel pork sticks

playing with a new toy

dissolve sugar over low heat until it caramelizes, carefully pour in fish sauce and water, and let simmer until caramel dissolves. cool completely.
use to marinate pork shoulder cubes with garlic, black pepper and lemon grass then broil.
*proportions are according to your preference. mine: 1/3 cup sugar, 1/4 cup fish sauce + 1/4 cup water.
i would happily recommend this toaster oven…it is spacious enough to make an appetizer-portion-platter of pork sticks.
Tom yam is always sooooooooo

Hi Stel,
I shall post some photos soon. I went shopping and bought myself a new camera! I was supposed to go shopping for christmas presents and ended up getting myself one. LOL
Also, you’ve inspired me to get a food processor. I’m printing the cookie recipe!!!! I’m picking it up tomorrow as promised by the shop. I’m so excited. I shall let you know how it turns out.
